Expert Review & Analysis
I downloaded this because I was sick of getting ten spam calls a day, and it actually does a pretty decent job of filtering them out. The caller ID screen pops up fast when someone calls, and I like that I can see the caller location before I even pick up. The smart visual charts under the statistics tab are also pretty cool to look at since they show you exactly how many junk calls got blocked over the week.
But teh setup was kind of a pain. It makes you set it as your default phone app which I expected, but the interface feels a bit cluttered compared to my normal dialer. My biggest issue is with the themes. I went into the customization settings to change the background color for trusted contacts, but the app crashed twice while I was trying to save my changes. Its a bit annoying to deal with these bugs when you just want to customize your screen.
Also, it asks for a lot of permissions right away. I know it needs to read my contacts to work, but it still makes me a bit uneasy. If they can fix the crashing issue on the theme selection screen and make the dialer look a bit cleaner, it'll be a keeper. For now, it just sits there doing its job blocking people.
